Eyre Way, Eyre Peninsula, Australia - December 2023
I was looking for a secluded place to spend a couple of days in nature while in South Australia and I stumbled upon this wonderful cabin. I couldn’t have chosen a better place.
South Australia is definitely a less known and explored part of Australia, however it is a great place for enology with its wine region characterised by bold reds and crisp whites, natural beauty and parks which make you feel you are in another world and its extensive farms, red dirt, that transport you to a mysterious landscape.
It was a day with a grey cloudy sky, we were driving across farm land to reach eyre way and little we knew that these conditions were perfect to see animals in the wild.
Waking up with the sound of the ocean, emus and kangaroos at our doorstep was priceless.
The cabin is located on a farm, overlooking the ocean, with its very own private beach. We hiked, we swam, we explored and enjoyed lots of warming red wine from the region. The small home itself had everything we needed and the details were beautifully crafted, all respectful of nature. Embracing slow leaving, it was the perfect place to relax, reflect and immerse yourself in nature.
On our second day the sun was shining giving us the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful place in all its glory.
The trails you can follow take you to beautiful beaches, and on our walks we encountered koalas, flock of sheep, kangaroos and enjoyed the blue and green views.
In short, a slice of paradise definitely worth experiencing.
